Basic Digital Camera Shooting Techniques

Simple composition tips guaranteed to make your shots look better

1. Keep the composition simple!
2. If you are new start shooting on the level and with experience you will learn how you can shoot at an angle for better impact
3. Select a plainer-looking background rather than messy background.
4. Use zoom lens or move physically to avoid distractions like telephone poles, wires, cables, litter and street rubbish
5. To avoid school type photo, give a pose to your subject
6. Use the program mode of your camera rather than auto mode.
7. Photography in landscape mode locks focus into the distance and guarantees a sharper-looking distant shot.
8. For action photo, use fast shutter mode along with ISO sensitivity setting of 200 or 400
9. Hold the camera to your face and use optical viewfinder for normal shooting
